Is that a winning lottery ticket?

I’ve never played the lottery, but tonight I’ ve decided to give it a try by playing both cash 3 and cash 4. I saw the results, and it looks like I won.

Result for Cash 4: 7565

My ticket: 7535 (I chose BOX)

Result for Cash 3:158

My ticket: 251 (BOX)

Did I win guys?

Come on, folks! If you really don’t have ANY idea what you’re talking about, why do you even bother answering a question.

Sorry those 2 idiots got your hopes up.

You lost.

The point of BOX is that you can hit your numbers in ANY order. But all 4 numbers must be the same as all 4 of your numbers. All 3 numbers in the Pick-3 must be the same as all 3 of your numbers. (Again – they can be mixed up in any order.)

If the result was 7565 and your numbers had been 5576, THEN you would have won. As it stands, that “3″ you picked was wrong, so you lost.

In the pick-3, the result was 158. Your number contained a “2″, so you lost that one, too.

Don’t think to yourself, “Wow – I was close! Maybe if I try again I’ll be a winner.” You won’t be. This sort of thing happens a lot. It’s actually very easy to be off by just 1 number in the pick-3 game, and you’ll also see it occasionally in the pick-4.

Over all, lottery is the worst bet you can ever make! Did you know that lottery companies take around 50% right off the top?!? In other words, for every $100,000 they take in with ticket sales, they only pay back around $50,000 to winning tickets!

The worst casino bet has only around a 10 to 15% edge over the player. Lottery = 50%!!!

If you never played the lottery before now, do yourself a HUGE favor. Quit now while you’re only a couple bucks behind! If you MUST play, just play 1 dollar per week. Once every few years you’ll get lucky and win a small amount of your money back.
