Wicked the Musical ticket lottery question…?

Ok so my family and I were thinking of seeing Wicked tomorrow and getting our tickets by putting our names in the lottery. I’ve heard that if you don’t get picked you get half priced tickets.Is that true? What happens if you don’t get picked? Thanks!

The half priced tickets is NOT true. I’ve done Wicked lotto in New York City, Chicago, and on tour before. If you don’t get picked, then you don’t get tickets. Due to the popularity of the show, if you don’t get tickets, there isn’t much of a chance for you to get tickets. You can try cancellation line (inside the box office), but there are no guarantees that you will get even more than one ticket, and if you do, they will be full price (upwards to $300). Also, there is a chance where only a few of you will be able to see the musical. I’d suggest every member of your family to enter for 2 tickets, and cross your fingers that you win enough tickets, but I wouldn’t honestly plan on winning more than 2 tickets. It’s just the way Wicked lotto is- sorry!

I don’t know if you’re going to lotto in NYC, then I’d suggest you go to TKTS to get tickets to a different show. Wicked is almost always sold out and will not be at the TKTS booth.
