I do not want to bother my friend, but I want to make the right decision … What should I do?

First, understand that I have 13 in 8th grade and have to start high school. Where I live, is assigned to a school where you live, but can undergo a type of auction to change lottery school. My friend and I have been BFF since we were small children (our moms are friends) but have never attended the same school so we were super happy. She is a year older, and is a freshman at W (my school who are eligible). However, a large number of children in my school there too, and want to start again in high school (long story). There is another school, N, I really want to go, and I have applied already, but is there only a small chance that even I get it. It's really my dream school: it focuses more on the performing arts (which is my forte) than any of the other schools, and also I like his school colors better! The question is: how do I break my friend asked me N? Should I? What if he really go? My friend is very sensitive!

High School is a great thing. Trust me, I'm a senior. I go to college next year.
