smart pick lottery numbers
What are my odds now?
Looking for someone who is great a math and will not give me a smart alec answer.
You are playing a lottery game – The numbers are 1 through 44
You have to pick the six winning numbers to win. Your chances are 1 in 3.5 million (approximately)
I decide to play – so I write down 16 numbers and play those number in 15 different combination of 6 for each draw.
The 16 numbers that I picked are most common number drawing for the lottery over the past 5 years. (but I am sure that really doesn’t matter) Here is an example of how I choose those 15 different combos.

If I play these same (15) combination’s each time using the same (16) numbers does this decrease my odd to be less then 3.5 million
I think I know what you are asking and the answer is no.
Because you are playing more than one ticket, you do increase your chances of winning. If I am only playing one ticket, for example, and you are playing two tickets, then you have twice as many chances to hit than I do. (Of course, you are paying double the price to do so, too.)
So yes, the more combinations you play, the better your chances of winning.
However, the numbers you pick are irrelevant. It’s all chance… and the past numbers “have no memory.” The numbers that have (or have not) appeared in the recent or distant past have NO INFLUENCE on what numbers will appear in the future.
So yes, by playing more than one ticket, your odds are definitely decreased by less than one in 3.5 million. If you are playing ten tickets, you have ten chances in 3.5 million.
I hope that helps.
(P.S. Lottos are for suckers. The house edge is WAY too high.)
