Is it legal to “Contract purchase lottery ticket for other people”?

I have question about buying super lotto/lottery ticket for people out of state or from foreign country. Is it legal?
Say that people from out of state or foreign country wish me to purchase them the California Super Lotto, is it legal that I take their money and make purchase of the lottery ticket for them?
Or is it legal to consider this as private contract between the buyers who pay me to do the purchase.

No, it is not legal. Most if not all lottery states expressly forbid the buying of tickets for 3rd parties. If someone were to win, and the ticket office found out, the ticket would be null and void.
