God Isn’t a Man!

We spirit beings who have been taught we’re more humanoids than spirit have unconsciously applied the same mistake to God. Instead of seeing God as “the Spirit”, we envison HIM (of course He is a MALE) as sort of a super male, Superman, applying all the anthropomorphic traits that we can muster. Is there any wonder our PRAYERS find “little” (and for many it would be NONE) success? 

Listen, if we’re prayer to some sort of “super” man, we’re missing the boat!

We are sons and daughters of God. We are joint heirs! In real estate, a deed is most often made out as joint tenants or tenants in common. Joint tenancy means that I own an undivided share of the whole. It means WHOLENESS- ONENESS! That’s the picture and the plea of Jesus, that we become ONE with Father-Consciousness as He was. Too many are living as “tenants in common” which means I won a divided share of the whole. Wife has her half and I have my half.

We are separated!

In “tenants in common” should the wife (or vice-versa) die, hubby doesn’t get her half. Her heirs, children, or whomever she designated gets her 50%. In joint tenancy, the surviving spouse gets it ALL  (can you say Luke 15:31?). All that the Father HAS…..ALL is ours. That’s ALL as in everything that we accept, receive, believe, and appropriate. I may win the lottery tonight, but unless I accept it, go to Austin to get my check, deposit it, and then start writing checks, it’s not of any good to me.

We don’t HEAR what the Spirit is saying when we read, “Take no thought”, or “Come buy wine without price”, or “Consider the ravens”. The birds are just thankful for the day. Food will be provided, everything that’s needful IS provided, and not just for the birds. So, THANK Father-Consciousness and stop praying to some MAN (great as you might think HIM to be) OUT THERE. 

Quit sitting in sack cloth and ashes, moping around with shoulders heavy-laden, as though God called only you to intercede for the universe. Act like God loves you. Act like God loves everyone. Act like you are a joint heir with God as Jesus was and is and just maybe you’ll smile more because you are HAPPY. The joy of the Lord is your strength.

God is NOT a MAN! The Father metaphor works only so far!
