How I can move to the States for good?

I have a dilemma. I really want to live in the States, but does not seem possible. I am a citizen of the United Kingdom with a degree from Oxford, but apparently my own education at all in the eyes of U.S. law. I can not enter the green card lottery, or because one of my parents were born in the UK (apparently the UK is a country ineligible for the green card lottery, and a citizen of the United Kingdom will only eligible if both parents were born elsewhere). The only options seem to be sponsored by a U.S. company (Quite a feat in itself, and even then only getting a green card after 7 years), or marry an American girl. Can anyone suggest ways easier for me to move to the States for good, or at least substantially over the 3 months you get to the visa waiver program? I would be very, very grateful. Thank you.
