Do you have an education lottery in your state?

I have to admit I wonder where some of my state education lottery will because it has teachers who were laid off left and right, art classes are being lost due to funding and our governor has taken money from the lottery education for use in other parts of the state budget. I do not see the benefits of the lottery. Can someone please explain exactly how the lottery education? How much of that money goes to education? Anyone? LOL

Are you in North Carolina? Because that sounds like what happens our lottery money. I wonder where it goes.
