I'm writing a comparative essay in English class. the two texts are "The Lottery" by Shirley Jackson and Harrison Bergeron "by Kurt Vonnegut. They are things that are happening now. The fact that people still believe that winning the lottery that will help their children to a better place in society from a financial standpoint. The fact that people need to go through an eccentric form of education that are considered valid in a area of occupancy. That people go through the motions without even considering the fact that the system is set up that way. People want and need learn what the system expected to be achieved. Do you think the people who found the highest forms of scientific, economic, mathematical, artistic, spiritual and formulas took courses to learn everything from a book, or taken prior knowledge of the areas of knowledge and progressed through philosophy individual? Moral of the story? Never take the word for it. Find the truth for your car. Learn, discover and create. Do not take what society in general set in front you.
