F1 grace period, when it starts in relation to the H1B petition?

Hello .. My OPT expires on May 15, 2009. If my employer files correctly H1B for me, I know my OPT extended legal situation until you know the results of H1B. So if we say that the June 5, 2009 I was notified that was not selected in the lottery, would be my F-1 60 days grace period will begin on June 5.2009, or May 15, 2009? Thanks
