I have forgotten the sums of probability theory. But I guess that answers will the following: a) How many different results (3 digits) are possible? Answer: 10C3 = 10! / 7! * 3! = 10 * 9 * 8 / (3 * 2) = 720 / 6 = 120 b) if you buy a ticket for tonight, what is the likelihood that you will win? Answer: Only one of 120 possible combinations is the winning combination. Therefore, the probability of winning is1/120. However, many people may choose the same combinations and therefore the prize money should be divided into draws. C) suppose buy three tickets for tonight, and different select number of tickets.what is the probability that you will not gain any input? Answer: All three sets each has a different probability of 1 / 120 to win. There are three favorable results of 120 of the possible outcomes. Thus, alongside their union (sum) gives the probability that my victory as 3 / 120 = 1 / 60. Therefore the probability of not winning any of these entries is 1 – (1 / 60) = 59/60. I would be happy to know what really correct answers.
