What is the law in Louisana for school buses picking up children under five? Can’t she be picked up at home?

My child won the lottery to go to a school of choice. I work out of the parish. I was told that she has to go to a bus stop 2-3 blocks away. I thought the bus driver had to have visible sight of a child (a girl) under 5 until she reached her house.

If that’s true I need to move to Lousianna…. cause he in Florida we are responsible for our own kids…. if we have a 5 year old that needs to take the bus then we have to make sure that 5 year old gets to the bus stop and from the bus stop safely.. the bus driver is only responsible for the kids when they are on the bus…. good luck with that though
