Westinghouse Radio

This is an old junk radio we saved from someone's scrap pile.

Who knows it may end up there anyway.

It is in this very bad condition:

  • Someone hastily refinished the cabinet in polyurethane
  • Holes drilled in cabinet
  • All tubes are missing
  • Power transformer and other parts are missing
  • No model or chassis number

You can see in the photo on the Right
that the radio is missing many parts.
It looks like someone drilled a hole in the
chassis and mounted a headphone jack!

Radio Chassis

Radio Dial

The photo on the Left shows
the one good thing this radio
has: A beautifully silk screened
airplane style dial.

You can see it's colorful
and marked off with cool looking
words like "Police" and
"Ammeter", "S America, "London"
and more.

These are completely useless
references but looks official anyway.

It will just have to sit on the
shelf as a knickknack
until if and when we decide
to work on it.
