Condition:
Wood is in excellent condition. It was found gray with years of collected dirt. Staining wax was applied after oil soap cleaning and the wood was polished to a shine.
Face is a little worn where the winding key is inserted.
Most of the mechanism is in excellent shape except a couple elongated pivot holes (wear). It shows signs of past repairs.
I had replaced the missing leather gong hammer pad and made various mechanical adjustments.
The clock is kept mechanically clean, and special clock oil is applied to appropriate pivots twice a year. It keeps perfect time.
History:
It was purchased from a N. Ga dealer and history is not known.
