There are 50,000 GCs.

Family get them as well.

So they start at number 1 and work through until all the GC are gone. If you have a wife and 8 kids you take 10 GC.

You have to pass a medical, a police check, you have to have enough money, or a trade or skill that is in demand.

Its a long process and a lot of people who “win a greencard” never get one.
